Tom brings more than 18 years of experience in construction leadership, program management, and team development, with deep expertise in mission-critical infrastructure, data centers, healthcare facilities, and large-scale government projects.
Prior to joining PowerHouse, Tom held leadership positions at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led several strategic initiatives, including the development of a global quality organization and the launch of AWS’s newest mega cluster in Columbus, Ohio. Throughout his career, he has successfully delivered infrastructure portfolios, including military installations, national security facilities, and hyperscale data centers for both the U.S. Navy and AWS.
In addition to his private-sector accomplishments, Tom continues to serve as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve. In this role, he supports specialized construction and engineering missions that strengthen critical infrastructure and national defense capabilities. His unique blend of military and commercial experience provides a disciplined, mission-focused approach to leadership and project execution.
Tom holds a Master of Science in Construction Engineering from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Michigan and a Defense Acquisition University Certified Contracting Professional. An active industry leader, Tom has served as Chapter President of both the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). His contributions to the engineering profession have been recognized with numerous honors, including being named Engineer of the Year for the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia Region.
